Spotify is the world’s largest streaming service provider, with over 365 million monthly active users. They joined Vidcon, a place where the world’s leading digital creators, platform innovators, and their fans converge. Therefore, Spotify wants to delight guests at VidCon giving them an experience they hadn’t seen before. They want us to deliver an experiential solution that would engage guests and get them to share their Spotify VidCon experience on social.
The Solution
To create this engaging experience we decided to use our Robot, which features a camera mounted on a robotic arm. This technology can capture super slow-motion video in seconds, live at events. For Spotify, we paired the Robot with a neon light tunnel. Guests select their favourite music and playlist and then the lights sync with the beat. This allows the brand’s consumers to have fun, and dance along while the Robot recorded their moves.
The Robot videos were instantly processed, with bespoke Spotify filters added to match the chosen playlists. Guests can share their videos instantly to social media with their friends and family, driving people to the Spotify stand at VidCon and building exposure on social media.
