Beaming Selfies to Times Square Billboards

Beaming Selfies to Times Square Billboards

The Brief

Morgan Stanley wanted to take over Times Square with a diversity-themed activation inline with their new conceptual spacesuit for women. This technical element would elevate to their “Creating Space” activation, that educates visitors through the history of spacesuit design. This campaign needed to show Morgan Stanley’s belief that everyone should have an opportunity to participate in the future $1 trillion space economy, and commitment to building solutions that make life in the stars — and on Earth — more equitable and accessible.

Morgan Stanley’s ‘Creating Space’ Activation

The Solution

The public could visit the ‘Creating Space’ activation in the centre of Times Square, where they took selfies on our on-site, fully branded, photo booths. These photos automatically applied an AR Astronaut filter and beamed them onto the external signage of the company’s Times Square headquarters. We partnered with Spearhead Marketing and Courageous Studios to create this unique activation and our team worked closely with broadcast team to provide the custom dev turning this brief into reality. How incredible is it that the general public could see their photo on Morgan Stanley’s billboard!?

The immersive installation highlighted the company’s vision for a more inclusive future, and saw over 2000 people from 51 different countries, with 912+ photos over the 2 days. Not to mention everyone who walked passed the Times Square billboard!
