The Brief

World Netball wanted to mark their exciting rebrand with a campaign that shines a light on all the incredible Netballers who make their unique sport, with the launch of a virtual photos mosaic.

The ‘Your Netball World’ mosaic would bring together the faces of netballers from across the globe and celebrate the individual stories that together make up the World Netball family.

The person’s image and their story will join thousands of others from every corner of the world, to form one virtual mosaic of the World Netball logo. They’ll be able to zoom in to see their story, as well as those of their friends and teammates, and even their favourite athletes and netball personalities!

The Solution

The ‘Your Netball World’ mosaic is filled with over 1,400 inspirational stories from athletes, officials, and grassroots netball players from around the world.

With individual messages from every continent, big netball names such as South African Proteas Karla Pretorius, Botswana International Francinah Eyman, England International Beth Cobden, Jamaican International Shamera Sterling, and the likes of Gary Burgess, Lisa Alexander AM, and Tamsin Greenway, have all added tiles to the mosaic, celebrating a world united by this unique sport.

Marking the countdown to the Netball World Cup in South Africa, the virtual mosaic also worked as a prize draw, with one lucky winner winning a trip of a lifetime to be a spectator at the world’s most prestigious netball competition, which takes place from 28 July – 6 August 2023.

The big reveal of the final mosaic was on 28th July 2021, which marked two years to go until the Netball World Cup 2023.
